The Maltese Residents and Visa Programme (MRVP) allows qualified and well-respected non-EU, non-EEA or non-Swiss citizens, who contribute to Malta’s economic development, to have the right to reside indefinitely in Malta along with their family members, and the right to travel freely within the Schengen area.

Requirements

Applicants must make the following investments:
  • Property: purchase a property worth more than €320,000 (€270.000 in South Malta or Gozo) or rent a property with rent of at least €12,000 per year (€10,000 in South Malta or Gozo)
  • Investment Funds: The applicant must make an investment of at least €250,000 in Government approved investments over a period of five years.
  • Government Donation - The applicant must contribute €30,000 to the National Development and Social Fund of the Government of Malta. A non-refundable application fee of €5,500 is deducted from the total amount due.
