Requirements
Applicants must make the following investments:
Applicant can purchase a property worth more than €350,000 or rent a property with rent of at least €16,000 per year for a total of five years.
Applicant can make an investment of at least €150,000 in government-approved investments over five years.
Applicant can contribute €650,000 to the National Development and Social Fund of the Government of Malta.
Eligibility
Investors must meet the following criteria:
over 18 years old
No criminal record and be in good health
Applicant must purchase medical insurance.
Must live in Malta for 12 months before citizenship is granted.

Applications must be made in person.
Full citizenship applications can be submitted at any time during the 12-month residence period. This process takes approximately 240 days.
Applicants take the oath and are issued a passport. Applicants must come in person. This process can take up to 5 days.
Naturalization certificates may take an additional 6 to 24 months to be verified.
